Hello from scotland !

Post by ISMC »

Hi,

I'm a surveyor mainly in the gas & petro chemical industry but I have a personal interest in heritage and conservation.

So other than scanning oil rigs and refineries that I'm paid to do I'm using the scanner to capture some of the more interesting things in my local areas.
I have access to a L&M and a faro focus 3D (which I prefer mainly do to its size and weight)

Software wise I have AutoCAD 2014, Recap, LFM, Scene, Navisworks, LSS10 and Micro station. ill be honest I'm not fully up to speed with a lot of these or which is the better to use in certain situation so any advice on that would be appreciated,

Thanks

Iain

Ha-ha
that case study looked amazing !

I'm hoping to gain access to some really nice sites in Edinburgh through helping a friend who deals in conservation.
