Hello from Missouri, USA

Post by TigerAC3 »

I am a project engineer for an automotive company. We are installing many new production lines. As we do so, we are working with our contractors to have them model all utilities and utilize BIM 360 Glue for collaboration. My goal now is to use a RTC360 to scan the existing building and utilities to provide them to aid in their design. At this time I want looking to learn how to best tie in the scan data with modeled 3D data.

Adam,
Welcome to the forum. In a week or so Leica in Norcross GA is having a HDS University. You can learn a lot from their trainers during the week. There are a lot of options to do what you are looking to do.

Adam,
What did you find was the best solution? We're going through the same workflow using Revit Fabrication parts and the RTC360. I'm trialing Glue to test it's .pts, .rvt and .nwd capabilities along with utilizing a .nwd as a standalone for review by our field personnel.
