Konica Minolta VIVID 910 3D laser scanner

Post by andreastefano »

Hi everyones,

i'm new in the forum, so i'm not sure if it is the right section where to write my question.
I'm working in the field of 3D for few months, precisely my topic is the 3d reconstruction in surgical vision (master thesis project)... For this project i'm using the Konica Minolta VIVID 910 3D laser scanner to obtain the virtual shape of some artificial organs (made of polyurethan), but i found some problem.
Did someone of you use this scanner? How was the calibration procedure (using the rotable plate) for you? Did you use it in Polygon software or did you make the manual merge using another software?
Finally, with which material used it, I mean: how were made the objects scanned? (polished, matt, trasparent...)

I'm sorry for my english, I'm italian :D

Thanks to all!

Welcome to the Forum Andrea :D

I'm no expert on those kind of scanners but I am sure you will find some people with the knowledge you seek.
