Leica P40 GEV228 Ethernet Cable

Post by kamac93 » Mon Nov 19, 2018 7:03 am

Hi everyone,

I have accidentally broken the casing Lemo end of my transfer cable. I am trying to find the exact piece to replace it. However I am having issues on seeing what specific part I need, as the Leica manual only states the cable name being GEV228.

I have found the piece (link below), which I believe will work.

Has anyone else had to replace this part?

Any information would gladly be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Kamil

Probably easier to just buy the whole cable...

£17 vs £102 though...

Rest of the cable is in good condition.

Kamil I think the main issue might be knowing the pinout and knowing which cable goes to which connector. . There are 8 connectors there and I assume things can go south on you if you solder them on wrong and its your scanner that's on the line :/ $80 is not that much of a cost if you think about that.
