Hello Laser Scanning peoples. I was wondering if anyone could help with this. I need to split some largeish .xyz files (generated from a point cloud) into manageable chunks for import into another platform. Does anyone know any decent software for doing this? It would need to split the file "intelligently" ie: sequentially and without breaking any data lines in the middle.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Re: File splitting
Hi Dan, I found a text splitter on-line which seems to be doing the trick. Working OK on a 9Gb file so far. Thanks for the reply. : )

Can you give a URL for the file splitter?
Also liking the job title, is Duncan keeping you busy then?
