Thanks for answering these questions Peyman. It's always good to tell people how long processing can take.
I believe all of us suffer from having to explain every single time that processing takes a lot longer than acquiring!

How large are the files for that?

The AutoCAD tracing looks amazing! Do you have any tips for working with point clouds in AutoCAD that make this process more precise?
The detail on the glass work is amazing!

Sorry for my very late reply, haven`t checked this post fro a while. I have found out the best way to draw more precisely in Auto CAD is having each single laser scan setup in your Recap file. This way you can turn on and off whatever position you may need through drawing sessions.
For this specific project we have to draw each and every stone block and mortar joint. So I have to turn of all positions and turn on just one or two needed position to be able to draw what was needed.

Hope it helps

Peyman Bashiri wrote: Mon May 13, 2019 4:21 pm The client needed accurate shop drawings, we could have exported the 2D DWG files from 3D revit model. But according to previous experience we decided to do it separately. All 2D facades was traced in Auto Cad. I attached a screen shot of all 2D drawings layover point clouds.

Do you use AutoCAD to 2D trace over the point cloud or Revit?
Peyman,
What experience was this? Interesting to know.
