ZF5010 - stitching crack and drop issue on the panoramic picture

Post by EDF-DIPDE-Lyon »

Hello,

My provider delivered me this panoramic realised with a 5010c.

Image

they told me that its happend when the scan is close to a surface ( wall, tank, ceiling...) ?

its independant from the texture of the surface
always on the top of the picture

Image

do you know something about this ?
autofocusing of the camera ? (under 300millimeter)

Hi,

Its just for the coloration? do you have points on this area?

Its looks like you're underneath photo recovery threshold. For me it's not a big deal ....

The scan appears to be at the minimum threshold for return of the laser system, .3 meters.

The intensity view shows little to no points returned at the closest point to the ceiling, thus the process of color mapping involving using the point cloud as the framework for the images has this distortion where there is a lack of returned data.

Simply stated, there are no points for the color images to adhere to directly above the scanner.

Hope this helps to answer your question and feel free to contact Z+F support for a further explanation or more details.

My provider always automatically removes pointclouds at a distance less than 50cm, for a better quality.

So the cloud is necessary to have a correct 360 photo ? Professional photographers only use their own photos.

On the outdoor, this does not pose a problem since there is no pointcloud in the sky ?

I will check tomorow.

It's not a little problem : in the virtual visit, it's ugly ! and I love when everything is perfect

I was wrong, they delete the point under 50cm with the ZF5006, not with the 5010.

I got pointcloud everywhere.

theres not a problem of lack of point

I was right

it's the autofocusing system of the camera.

just a little look at the data sheet,
HDR camera
focus area 1 m -
and remember that with cheap optic system, the focal rise when the focus is very close, so the 6 images at the top can't fit.
