Z&F 5010C - Screen Display

Post by anonimou » Wed Apr 13, 2016 9:36 pm

Hi all

From the last month we are working with a new Z&F 5010C..
Working outside with normal daylight, after the scanner finish is very difficult to check the point cloud picture on the Z&F screen display.
So we are unable to make windows if we want to catch anything with more detail.

Only indoor we can see the pointcloud on the screen.

This is normal on this scanners? because before we had a HDS7000 and the screen display was much better.

On the main menu you should find a bright display button. This we designed to save battery on indoor scans but still allow for bright outdoor view however... its not really optimal. I find having a laptop and downloading the scans to via wifi is the best way.

Arash, thanks for the reply.
We contacted Z&F and they sent us the solution.
You can plug in a usb keyboard on the scanner to access the bios.
Inside the bios you have a option to change the brightness screen display.
Our was setup to 50%, now we changed to 100%, and improved a lot.

1. Plug in the usb keyboard on the scanner
2. Turn on the scanner and click the "delete" key several times to show the bios menu.
3. Go "advanced"
4. Go " Intel IGD SWSCI OpRegion"
5. Go "Backlight Control Fun" and change for what you need
6. Click "Escape"
7. Go " Save and Exit"
Done!
