I have absolutely no idea what you guys are doing, but given what you are trying to do, I'm going to guess that you need 'sockets'. Test socket usage here: https://www.websocket.org/echo.html
Can't install Firefox on the windows mobile.
On the final paragraph, I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about!? Sockets? Websockets? Wots dis?

I would say its a bit easier than previous models as you don't need a port number or other syntax.
On the scanner turn on wifi from general settings and make sure it is set to "access point" if you want to connect your remote device directly to the scanner. Note the ip on the wifi settings screen of the scanner, then connect your device to the scanners wifi. Open up a browser and enter the ip in the address bar. The scanner's interface should pop right up on the remote device.
You also have the option to use the scanner in wlan mode, which allows you to connect it to an existing wifi network from which the scanner can be controlled from any browser capable device on that network. It is a handy feature when the direct access point mode has too much interference from other wifi signals. There are more tricks and neat things to talk about here, but that should get you going.
Don't know if there is an existing video. I can make a quick one if neccessary.
Thank you Jonathan, that is very helpful, I am bringing the scanner down a 9m hole and have to remote access the scanner, first time for this style of work.
9m is pretty far depending on the surroundings. We were able to successfully connect to and control our 330x a couple hundred feet down an elevator shaft over wifi, so I don't think you will have any problems with one of the new models considering its wifi is much better.
Good luck and I hope the downhole adventure is as much fun as I imagine it to be!
