I have Faro focus S70 scanner (one year)
Today after few scans I got the 1440 Error. After I looked in the forum I tried to change SD card, factory settings and Check for updates.
There is more options to check? I cant work right now

I'm not sure a more robust case would spare any delicate scanner electronics. What happens is that myself as a one man shop, treat all with care but companies where a few people use them just don't care that hard. Especially normal employees.
You see this hapening with builder levels, these bloody things are always in for repairs or calibration because they don't get the treatment they deserve.
My riegl is in a full alu machine housing.
