Faro X330 " No data received from scanner. Scannig will not be possible.Please restart the scanner.

Hi Everyone,

We have a problem with Faro Focus X330,

really interesting problem,I think the problem is in the software.

scanner as if opening in safe mode. While opening, it waits for a long time in the "waiting for data" section and an error message appears.

We tried boot up and reset but not changed.

Manage menü doesnt open. Doesnt see sd kart.

But when i hold down the start stop button on the scanner it scans and saves to the sd card. Doesnt show on the screen.

Does anyone have a suggestion wonder?

I would do what you have done and since that didn't work I would reinstall the firmware.

FARO has an knowledge base on how to do that and you can download the firmware from them to if you don't have the last version they made.

If that fails it sounds like you will need to send it in for servicing.

I have a X330 and S350 so I do have lots of experience with the X330 but never had the issue have....

From the picture the scanner is not detecting the SD card. Did you try changing SD card?

I have never seen that happen.

Maybe you need to reinstall the operating system then install the firmware but I have no idea how to do that.... maybe a computer repair shop can help you. What the heck.. the next option is to ship it in for repairs anyway....

Superglue is a must Have learned this the hard way involving a second flight across the country and a re-scan of the project only to have one of my people get stuck in an airport due to winter storms. Think he still has the tiny blanket the airline gave him.

I wish a reputable SD card manufacturer would just make some without the lock switch.

Perfect! My first thought was that is pricey, but its much cheaper than another flight even when the airlines are almost giving them away.

Or you know the scanner could warn you if it's attempting, and failing, to write to a locked disk.
