Re: Faro Focus Swift
I checked last week... it was supposed to be released by now but FARO wants to improve accuracy more. Should be available later this year they said....hope so! Looks so much better than SLAM! And I have a S350 now.

Re: Faro Focus Swift
I just want to comment on this because I am excited about this product. Having used the scan plan, I believe there are great things coming with this development. Cheers to Faro! Cheers to the future!

Re: Faro Focus Swift
Been a while since I first commented on this thread, but I too am still very interested in this development.
Wonder if this will require the "A" or Automation variant of the scanner or just a run of the mill S series. From the first image there doesn't appear to be any type of automation adapter plugged into the bottom interface, so my hunch says any S series will work.

Re: Faro Focus Swift
I tested ScanPlan and found it completly unuseful for any engineering purposes.
If it works well in Swift - that would be great.

Re: Faro Focus Swift
From what I've heard you will not need the automation option. *crosses fingers* My favorite feature is being able to switch from mobile to stationary for added detail on the fly. Once they seamlessly integrate color then this will be an amazing package!!!jcoco3 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 9:39 pm Been a while since I first commented on this thread, but I too am still very interested in this development.

Re: Faro Focus Swift
Thanks for the info, and I agree that being able to switch from mobile to stationary will be tremendous. If this setup performs similarly to the SurphSLAM, then it will be a huge win for Faro and their user base. I wrote a little article a long time ago about it in days when I had more energy if you are interested: https://www.spar3d.com/blogs/guest-blog ... surphslam/

Re: Faro Focus Swift
Hello Community.
Waiting has come to an end!
FARO just officially announced the availability of its Focus Swift system, the first indoor mobile scanning solution which provides best accuracy on the market and the unique capability of combining stationary Focus laser scans with mobile data at any point in time.
