Any way to mesh a point cloud at high resolution?

I recently achieved something like this using Scene -> CloudCompare -> MeshLab.

I used CloudCompare for merging pointclouds, computing normals, and Poisson Surface Reconstruction.
You may have to play with the options and sliders to nail the right level-of-detail for your model.

I used MeshLab to reduce and refine the mesh.

I'm checking out CloudCompare, but the poisson Surface Reconstruction is getting confused with the tree foliage and creates big bubbles around the branches. Are there any settings that will work specifically for trees? Cause the default settings won't.
