I understand there may be queues at the maintenance shop but I don't think our machines should sit there idle waiting for their turn when they could do productive work at home. It would be much better if you could book a time slot well in advance with Faro and send the scanner to the shop just on time and have the serviced machine immediately back.
I'm thinking exactly the same thing. I would understand the need to book well in advance, but once the date is set, maintenance should be on time. Including transport, that's maybe one or two weeks without my scanner.
I sure hope Faro is aware of how badly these long servicing times can affect our business. How can we plan anything if we don't know when our (only) scanner will be back ? Wishing for a drastic improvement in this regard...
