Faro Scene Capture Calibration Pattern

Post by Mike Annear »

Hi All,
Does anyone have a printable Freestyle Scene Capture Calibration Pattern ?

I am assuming (hoping) it is similar to a David 3D "Print to scale" pattern that you print out and stick to a very flat surface.

Regards,
Mike.

The carbon fiber calibration boards that are shipped with each device are calibrated very carefully. They are also very robust against environment effects (e.g. temperature).

Why would you like to print something by yourself which would only give you questionable results?

I should have mentioned that I am using the Faro capture software with an Asus Xtion sensor, not the Faro Freestyle. I have found some literature on how to calibrate the sensor itself using printable targets.
Cheers,
Mike.

OK, in this case you should check out the SCENE capture manual, Chapter 18.2. It describes the process.
Scene Capture comes with two printable patterns for this purpose, one for A4 and one for US Letter format.
You can find them in the "Cameras" folder or download here:
