A day of scanning lost?
Hi,
I've started scanning (second building of a site) today. Tx5 asked for a snaphot when i entered the new project file.
I've scanned +/-130 scans today but when i arrive at my office, there are no scans on the sd-card. Everything else (till a few weeks back) is on the sd-card.
When i enter the card in the Tx5 the scanner gives me the next number of the batch i was working on but no preview of my work from today!!
When it postprocesses scans on the display i believe it saves them on the sd-card or not.
Where are my scans?? Help is needed.
Greeitings,
Lieven

Call support. I saw this once on a machine that was not mine and I don't think anyone would have believed me if it wasn't for the fact that someone else was there to see it. Luckily, the scans were not so important for us that day, but in your case, there is a lot more to salvage.

If the tx5 is like the faro ls check if you have a profile. I have that issue when my focus give me an error and delete all profiles. I make some scans normaly and when i try to transfer to the pc there was nothing. I solve the issue when i make a new profile because there was not any profile.

Re: A day of scanning lost?
After the heartattack and a nights sleep thinking how to tell this to my client, i got in my car to bring my son to school and surprise surprise, there was another sd-card laying on the dashboard.
It seems that i took the wrong card yesterday morning for the scanner. All the data is on this one.
I just did a little dance in my office!
Thanks for the advice on the profiles, i will look into this.

Re: A day of scanning lost?
In traditional surveying i once lost a days work when i left the sd-card on the roof of my car an drove off.
At night searching with a headlight, i found it but it was already damaged. The boss wasn't happy.

We have 2 scanners, with 4 SD cards for each scanner! So ya, scans can get mixed up and misplaced quite easily.
On the plus side, this allows us to process and register on the go.

Re: A day of scanning lost?
i have multiple cards in my car because i often load images from my slr-camera and forget the card when underway for a new project. It's silly to stand there with the client and an expensive camera to tell you've forgotten your card and have to return to the office.
