Looks nice. It is good to see competition from the manufacturers, it helps us all in the end no matter which we choose.

I do have a question as to what the definition of "survey grade" would be?

Quoted on Spec Sheet as :

Survey Grade Accuracy
< 3” = 0.3 mm @ 20 m

Full spec available here https://geospatialx7.trimble.com/

Feel free to message me for more info
Great to see E57 and LAS directly supported Neil, do these require going through Trimble desktop software or is this directly from the controller? I'd love to get some sample data to play with once it becomes available.

Manufacturers state a lot of things on their spec sheets but who sets the definition of "Survey Grade" and what is the criteria?

I think this scanner is a bit late to the party - but on paper it looks great.

Looking forward to seeing the poll on the forum "Which is best scanner Leica RTC360, Faro Focus S150 or Trimble X7"

Going to be a great fight ;)
If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.

Shane,

Direct export from controller. RCP export should be great also. I will get some sample data to you ASAP

Nice looking bit of kit. As someone mentioned, always great to have competition. I had always only used Leica before moving to Australia were I used Trimble gear and couldn't fault it. What is happening in terms of software, is Realworks staying?

Wow, they came a long way, not too heavy, and it looks that you can take it with you as a carry-on, anyone have an idea about the cost?
