Leica BLK v2
Anyone, that use it to give us real feedback?
Does it worth from the previous version?
VIS system is working outdoors or in spaces like corridors?

Re: Leica BLK v2
I've used the device extensively, as you can imagine.
Does it worth from the previous version?
Yes, it's a HUGE upgrade to the last device on every level.
Fast, easy to use, free app is simple and easy, workflow into F360 is awesome. Wifi speed is blazing, USB-C download just works.

I have tested it in a variety of environments and have only managed to "break" the VIS (intentionally), once.
It does not have as many cameras as the RTC360, but the positional data and pre-registration opportunities are fantastic.
You can see my "preview" commentary here: https://youtu.be/scCGfosfBT0 and another quick video here: https://youtu.be/CvYEhSOm4sk
I have a nice sample dataset if anyone wants it, let me know.

Re: Leica BLK v2
These were all mesh images using the 1 click Scan2Mesh within Cyclone 3DR. I have the mesh data and the original data in E57 in you'd like it...

Re: Leica BLK v2
When will BLK v2 be commercially available? I mean, when could I expect to actually receive one if I ordered it this winter? Currently there is not even a demo unit in my country.
I am asking because I don't want to repeat the same mistake I did some years ago. I spent half a year on a waiting list for BLK, then gave up and settled for a Faro.

Re: Leica BLK v2
I would guess the current wait-list is around 3 months... that's a personal guess.
I am going to ask the factory and will come back to you.
I am also going to check about the availability of a demo unit in Finland.

Re: Leica BLK v2
I have been testing it regarding implementing the workflow in our business model.
The scan time is awesome. Very fast for non HDR images and lowest density settings.
I have some complaints on image quality. but I'm going to test it again on monday and will post some screen dumps on so you guys can have a look.
I'll try 5 bracket HDR this time. I was hoping the image quality would be better given the time they have had to improve on the G1.
As of right now, non HDR imagery is not something that we can use in our company because of the poor image quality in somewhat every lighting condition.

Re: Leica BLK v2
I would like someone to sent me a dataset in e57 of the new BLK and a comparison in scanning times versus to the previous version 1.
