What do you use to read the log files pulled off a Leica RTC360? My scanner keeps giving me "Error 51" messages. I downloaded the log files, but it is a huge file, and I can't seem to find a program to open it.
Thanks for the help.

It is an encrypted zip, which cannot be read by the end user. You need to send it to support.

Re: Reading RTC360 log files
Error 51 is an error in the VIS.
Something isn't working as it should.
Check the cameras (the ones on the corners of the device) for smudges, dirt etc.
If you use an tablet to pre-register then the error won't really do anything, other than putting scans where they aren't supposed to be.

Re: Reading RTC360 log files
Did you leave the scanner in the same place after it scanned or go somewhere dark/tight space e.g up in to an attic?
Those are the times i have had that error with vis on!

Re: Reading RTC360 log files
I ended up contacting Leica and they told me there was a firmware update that needed to be installed on my scanner and that should solved the error messages I was receiving. I have not scanned anything after the update so I hope that holds true.

Re: Reading RTC360 log files
Did the support told you that you need newer registration software for the firmware to work? What versions do you use rtc360 fw, register version?
And downgrade is not officially supported. They told you that "maybe" the calibration goes wrong.

Re: Reading RTC360 log files
I have the latest registration software. 2022.0.1 r23189
FW: V5.1004/25/2022
They never mentioned anything about FW corresponding to registration software or vise-versa.

Re: Reading RTC360 log files
Well if you works in the newest register then sure no problem, but keep in mind usually if you upgrade firmware you have to upgrade aoftware as well...
We still use 2020.1, because that was the last usable version which can handle truslicer for large scale point clouds ie: 1000 or more scans/project. So we are stuck at fw 3.0.14
