BLK360 and adding coordinates

Post by fototicha »

I want to ask how can I add a coordinates to my BLK360 point cloud?
Iam using Cyclone Field 360 and Cyclone Register 360.

For one building I need to cooperate with a surveyor.
I understood, that he will give me coordinates for the targets placed at the building.
I just do not know, where and how exactly to do that?

I will be very thankfull for any help.

Thank you so much.

have a good day.
A.

This seems very long winded - so do you have to manually go through and rename every target in every individual set up? In Cyclone Core, once the targets are named it will automatically detect the same targets in multiple scans. This would be so time consuming if you have a large number of scans, is this the same for the RTC when adding control in Reg360?

The newest version of the software will automatically rename the same point in adjoining scans if you have C2C clouds in a bundle AND the targets are at least extracted/marked, but not labeled. This is because there is no "Naming process " for the targets on the scanner . The latest Field 360 app though allows you to tag the targets and name them in the field and Reg 360 software looks for those tags to auto mark and label targets on import, but then you have to go through the whole Scanner -Field360-Reg 360 workflow instead of straight from BLK360 Raw *.BLK files imported into Reg 360. If you've used find targets on import then they MAY already be tagged (along with other things that are not targets but the algorithm thinks it is (B/W adjacent colors like brick lines, overhead wires??)
If you are only using them to geo-reference then you can take the registered cloud and label afterwards. I usually label them all before registering them and can use them to aid in C2C - which we do a lot because most of our scans are outside for topo and verification purposes

Hello, I don't know if it will be for the 2022 version, but it changes the X and Y coordinates. Does the same thing happen to you?
