Importing issue in Cyclone
Hey all. I'm trying to import 11 scans captured using the RTC360 scanner into Cyclone 9.3.1. But import freezes just after halfway.
I got this same issue using Reg360 but solved it by ensuring my graphics card (AMD Radeon Pro) had the lastest drivers installed. The drivers are still up to date .
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated as it usually occurs after a few scans are imported.

Re: Importing issue in Cyclone
Just an update...tried importing the scans into Reg360, reached about 50% and then it stopped. Had to force close it.

Re: Importing issue in Cyclone
First issue to check is the amount of space for the temp file. You need about 3 times the space of the scans for the temp file. If the drive the temp file is located on is almost full, that could be the issue.

Re: Importing issue in Cyclone
The system has 2x1TB SSD (over 400gb free) and 1x2TB (over 1TB free) Mechanical drive.
Its just 11 scans with the Raw Scans being about 50gb.

I had similar problems, they were fixed by updating the graphics card driver (Nvidia card)and disabling all anti-virus and firewalls.

The Graphics card (AMD Radeon Pro) has the latest drivers. Tried importing with the antivirus and firewall off but same problem.

Re: Importing issue in Cyclone
This may help as we have seen several cases of this happening with the AMD drivers.
There was an Issue with AMD dropping a feature (SPIR support) in a recent driver update. We are working around this issue for our future release that includes a new API, but for now the solution would be to downgrade to an older driver. We know that 18.8.1 definitely already does not have this feature, so any older version should be fine. (e.g. this one here maybe: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/relea ... win-18-5-1 )

Re: Importing issue in Cyclone
Hey thanks for this info. Tired using this driver but it didn't work. It doesn't support the Graphics Card I have. But i trieed an older driver that does support it and it's working so far.mwb wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 9:06 pm This may help as we have seen several cases of this happening with the AMD drivers.
