Register360 import issue
Hi.
I wonder if anyone could help. I have a couple of scanning projects which I conducted with the RTC360 and am now attempting to register in Register 360.
Despite the largest project being smaller than some previously conducted, on this occasion Register 360 is freezing at <10% import.
My test scan which was conducted on the lowest Res without photos imports well but these larger scans seem to freeze the system. I can actually hear the processor fan stop when the system freezes too so I am wondering if there is something tripping out the system.
Thanks on advance.

The first thing to check is the amount of space on the drive for the temp files. Generally need 2 to 3 times the project size for importing and processing.

How many scans? All with images? What resolution? Project size (raw data) on USB?JoelScragg wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 2:59 pm Hi.

(Regardless, you should not see an issue... but if more than 4-500 scans I would tend to use Cyclone CORE/REGISTER instead.)

Re: Register360 import issue
Hey, I had a similar issue like this when importing scans.
Ensure that your Graphics Card Drivers are up to date. I have an AMD Radeon Pro and after I updated to the latest driver, it imported without any issues.

That is a VERY good point and something which is noted during the installation process... good call!dineshkimraj wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:16 pm Hey, I had a similar issue like this when importing scans.

Re: Register360 import issue
So I've noticed that keeping your AMD Graphics Card drivers up to date may not be the best option. Apparently there was an Issue with AMD dropping a feature (SPIR support) in a recent driver update. Therefore installing an earlier driver solved this problem. The driver I am currently using is from Feb 2018 and so far it's importing without any issues.pburrows145 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 10:22 amThat is a VERY good point and something which is noted during the installation process... good call!dineshkimraj wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 2:16 pm Hey, I had a similar issue like this when importing scans.

Re: Register360 import issue
You are absolutely correct. We have found the same issue with several other cases, where the users had to downgrade their AMD graphics drivers.

Re: Register360 import issue
Has there been any contact with AMD regarding this issue or is a workaround in the cyclone software itself in the works?
