Missing RTC360 Project-File for Import in Register360
Hello Everyone,
i recently got a RTC360 for testing. I was impressed by the speed and the handling and first pointcloud impressions on the tablet are superb.
I did some scans and i am now trying to import the scans into Register 360.
Unfortunately i only copied the Scandata and i am missing the project-file (filetype .prj or similar). I dont have acces to the data anymore.
Importing the scan-data only does nothing.
Refering to the Leica Support i need the project-file in order to import the scans. They also told me that an empty dummy project-file would do the job aswell.
Can someone provide such empty Project file to me?
(i am not talking about the files SetupPostion and [crypticname] from the scan data folder, i got these)
So far the scans are useless to me...
Any help on the case is very much appreciated.

Unzip this file and put it back into your raw data folder.
I hope this helps? #ThePowerOfLSF

Exactly what i needed, thanks a lot.
Btw. i figured its just a plain empty file. So i created an empty file called "project.rtc360".
Guess what, it also worked. Leica, just why?
Thanks again nevertheless.

It's just a pointer for the software to know that the folders in the same location is RTC data.

Re: Missing RTC360 Project-File for Import in Register360
Personally the arrangement is a pain in the arse .. we copy off the USB's into a folder on an "ingest" workstation .. so we end up with many jobs sitting in the one folder ..stevenramsey wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 12:49 pm It's just a pointer for the software to know that the folders in the same location is RTC data.
THEN to actually ingest - we are forced to copy the data to a different folder .. either a sub-folder .\CurrentImport .. or on to a different drive (more typically an SSD) .. otherwise - if you "point" R360 at your folder with the project file in it - it wants to load ALL the (completely unrelated) jobs in that folder ..
What was wrong with adding a import-by-folder like damn near every other software platform in existence? The file approach is a messy (horrid UX) complexity that is obviously leading to confusion (ala this thread) or makes a dogs breakfast of your workflow (unrelated jobs)
[edit - just read this back .. probably a bit harsh .. ;-p but yeah my first impression was damn that's "ugly" followed by "why?"]

It is being looked at. I am hoping the requirement can be removed (fingers crossed). As Steven says, it's merely a pointer.

I am also having an issue importing rtc data to register 360. I can import no problem to cyclone but when I try with Reg360, i just get the red circle.
I have the project.rtc360 in the raw data folder and still no luck . Any thoughts?
