Our RTC360 has been delivered this week! I'm all into testing for now..
Will post some of my results the next days..
We already have some questions about the Register360 software (best paramaters, meaning of some checkboxes). Does anyone knows how to export the HDR pano directly from Register 360? or the original files at different exposures separately to edit in HDR software?

Nice, are you using Cyclone Field 360 as well during your testing?

I posted this in another thread, but I'd recommend maxing out the "Max Point Density" value in your options. This directly impacts how many points are utilized for cloud-to-cloud links. In conjunction with the high density scans from the RTC, this makes it very had to get anything but green links even with a high tolerance.

The only image export I'm aware of is if you were to open your Register 360 project in Cyclone, then export out each image cube face individually. I haven't found a way yet to export the pano image, which would be preferable.

Can anyone share with me an e57 file with 20-30 scans to see the quality of this?

Hello,

just wondering if anybody knew how to export the blended 360 image from the RTC into a usable format. In its raw files it produces 4 cubemap files other than processing these in a different programme ( any recommendations would be appreciated) is there any other workflow that I could follow?

Thanks

Jay

What would you consider a usable format?

The 'best scanner' should deliver the sharpest/accurate images, IMHO. How one gets there (the easy way, or the tough route) may differ, but what counts is the end result. Show us some amazing images -that will get our attention. Dazzle us!

One which doesnt require a purchased license, that is easy for clients to access and doesnt take a massive amount of post processing time to geenrate.
