Hi all,
Currently trying to georeference a scan without using non-standard targets.
I've attached some photos to show you what I'm working with. Using a total station, a reflectorless shot was taken onto the centre of each bolt sprayed up in pink, and transformed onto a co-ordinate system.
I've used cloud-to-cloud and a visual registration to bring the scans together, but when I try to pick these points in the Truspace for georeference, I'm unsure of how to tell Cyclone to use that point, and that point alone. It seems to only recognise spheres, HDS targets or Black&White targets only - when I try to use any of those options, it is constantly searching for those particular targets and ends up using a point too far from where I'd picked.
Is there a solution for this?
Thank you

Re: Cyclone - Georeferencing with non-standard targets
I use SCENE but the procedure may be the same in Cyclone.
Set a point on your scanned target bolts and give them each a unique name like T1. T2 etc.
Lock all scans in one cluster/scan world and put that cluster in a new unlocked cluster.
Name the surveyed coordinate file points the exact same names for the bolt targets T1, T2 etc.
Bring the reference points into your SCENE/Cyclone program. Register the new cluster by "like named targets" ONLY.
Check coordinates of the scanned targets against the coordinates of the surveyed targets.
Done.

Create object -> from pick points -> vertex
Tools -> Registration -> add/edit registration label

Sorry for the late reply, gentlemen and thank you for responding.
I open each scan in TruSpace and don't seem to have the option to create a vertex.
I can use pick mode, but the only option I have on the top is to create a target.
