Hi,
I tried this 2 weeks ago with my phone (Pixel 2 XL & remote RDP Lite) and it worked fine. Went to connect today and it just times out - the phone is connected to the scanner as the wifi icon changes, all the info is correct (saved from 2 weeks ago). Tried to create a new connection in the app, still times out.
My phones not updated Android since then nor has the scanner firmware updated. Does anyone have any suggestions or other Android software that will work, i have tried Google Remote Desktop, Microsoft and RDP Remote Desktop aFreeRDP.
Thanks
Steve

Re: P40 Remote Control (Android)
The Remote RDP Lite is the recommended application to do the connection - you may just need to do an uninstall and reinstall, 'forget' the wifi connection and start from scratch - it may just be that there was an 'automatic' phone update that caused it to fall over - or maybe there was just a lack of space on your device? Worth a check, just in case something was missed.

Re: P40 Remote Control (Android)
I sourced another member of staffs phone to resolve the issue asap!
To be honest i am noticing my phone drop of wifi even during video calls so its probably the cause - will send it back for a replacement.
Thanks

Re: P40 Remote Control (Android)
Hello,
I just want to piggyback off this thread to see if I can resolve an issue I've been having. I personally use an iPhone to connect to a P40, and I haven't had any issues with it. My co-workers use Android phones, and we haven't been able to establish a connection with either of their phones. I've matched their configuration settings with what I have on my phone, and when they try to connected they just get a loading screen that never connects. We're following Leica's instructions per this guide: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/ ... vice-gefos
Is there a step we're missing when setting up an Android device?
Thanks

Re: P40 Remote Control (Android)
Now neither my phone or the Samsung that worked can even connect to the p40 wifi. Tried another Samsung A5 and it won't even find the scanner on the WiFi search.
Does anyone have an android solution or do we need to get an iPhone?

Re: P40 Remote Control (Android)
I have been using RDP for some time now. I can no longer get it to work. I connect to the scanners wifi P30, and when I connect to the scanner, it keeps telling me the host has closed the session and reconnect? I select yes and it just closes the session again. I have tried with 2 iPads and iPhone. Same results. Reset the iPad to new and still same results.
I’m assuming it’s something with the scanner. Anyone have experience with this?

Re: P40 Remote Control (Android)
I had that happening to me a few times.
Rebooting the scanner did it for me.
If not, always check that the connection settings are correct on both, it's so easy to change it on the scanner.
Hope it helps.
