Exporting the panoramic images requires adding a license of Publisher Pro to Register 360, which costs an additional $2,850 per year.

See attached datasheet for the module - it is crazy that this special module is needed just to get the images.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

What a scam, this should be included in the register 360 blk software...its such a shame it was advertised with a free solution (recap pro-most companies alresdy have this license) that had a 360 image export, then they turn around 2 years later and now we need to pay 4k a year to use the scanner. Getting a blk was a mistake and this makes me want to boycott leica just by principles. I think we will look into selling our blk scanners.

greg_at_ppm wrote: Wed May 02, 2018 7:37 pm Thanks, Andrew!! That solution worked great. Even though it's not a streamlined workflow, it's with a free Leica app which makes it worth it for now. I've already submitted this as a feature enhancement for Cyclone Register 360 to my Leica support rep. It would be nice to have this feature available in the new flagship software for use with the BLKs, considering the price tag for that software. Thanks again for helping out with this work around. I'm really looking forward to the continued software progress to help streamline these workflows for us!
What software did you use to view, open raw panoramic photos?

Dear jhillga,

I also found the raw data in the folder "Program Data" which is normally hided. But the format of the files is really weird (.hds/dat./sda). Do you have a solution how to convert them to jpg ?

Thank you very much

it can be done but leica will not tell you how... You will need to purchase publisher pro to export it... which is kind of bummer. dat1 files are the images if i recall correctly.

Hi all,

for Benaco (see our intro post) we process the cube map images exported by Register 360 and turn them into equirectangular panoramas (which can be used with any standard pano viewing/editing tool). So it's definitely technically possible to stitch the cube maps into equirectangular panoramas.

When you make a tour with us, you also get the downloadable equirectangulars. If you want to try it out together, just PM me.

we already use that method what you use, but it requires to export e57 from register360... but good to see that others are looking for ways instead of just paying for the publisher pro licenese...

and it takes time and you cannot get hdr panoramas through e57 export.

sometimes we need to give images before delivery. for example the clients want to see if there is any item which should not be visible. so we have to blur them out before delivery.

Of course this is better then nothing.
