Unable to update BLK360
I have downloaded the latest firmware, however during the update via WiFi I get an error message it makes a file I cannot open and tells me to send it to Leica support. Does anybody have this information of who I need to send this file to?

Re: Unable to update BLK360
Apparently it was an issue using chrome to update. I used Mozilla on another attempt and it worked fine.

Re: Unable to update BLK360
The first time I ran the update it failed due to a low battery. I used Chrome on a full battery and it worked as intended.

Re: Unable to update BLK360
PLEASE pay attention to the battery life before updating the firmware. We had one of our BLK batteries die during the firmware update and it bricked the BLK.

Re: Unable to update BLK360
The update actually has a check now to detect battery level before proceeding. This is where mine failed (check failed)sooperdooper wrote: ↑Mon Dec 04, 2017 2:16 pmPLEASE pay attention to the battery life before updating the firmware. Re: Unable to update BLK360
Better yet - consider avoiding the update as it seems to have caused inconsistencies in scanner performance. I've had the scanner freeze up mid-scan and require a restart on average of every 5 or 6 scans. Results from those scans imported into Register 360 come out reading "no scan" as the data is incomplete. I've read in another thread that others are having the same issue, and have reached out to Leica for the old firmware file to roll back the November firmware update.

Re: Unable to update BLK360
I'm glad I waited. We got the new firmware notice the day our BLK was delivered (Last Monday) We have been using the BLK360 tentatively in a testing mode with Recap Pro Mobile and the iPAD and it seems to work fine in the field, getting used to it and have seen some issues with the imaging (black cracks, etc. even a pink blur over all the middle camera photos on one setup. I'm afraid to load it seeing as others have had problems. Also the firmware upload instructions talk about an file with a different *.Ext than the one downloadadable from the Disto/laser webpage. Undertand that the new Desktop ReCAP does handle the HDR images that can be recorded with the NEWEST firmware, but I'm afraid to try it because the newest ReCAP desktop has bugs in it itself!greg_at_ppm wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 2:05 pm Better yet - consider avoiding the update as it seems to have caused inconsistencies in scanner performance. Re: Unable to update BLK360
This happened when we had a demo of one. I just put it down to someone walking by the instrument with a pink shirt on.
Your reference to it above is the first time I have seen it mentioned. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

Re: Unable to update BLK360
The pink blur is common and is essentially lens flare from direct sunlight. I don’t think there’s much that can be done about that, though HDR seems to help a bit.

Re: Unable to update BLK360
I had this and it was the middle lens had been smeared by someone handling the unit with dirty hands. This went once I wiped the camera lens with a alcohol wipe.
