Re: P30 calibraton
I was under the impression that with the P series of scanners you can do a face left, face right check against a target but not a calibration as such.

Re: P30 calibraton
There is a check you can do on boot up (compensator), plus the face left and face right checks also. If you want to go the whole hog, you can perform a full check and adjust (but you need a high target (~18m) for one of the checks).

Re: P30 calibraton
best / easiest check is the compensator check. I think it is check and adjust tilt sensor in the menu. Make sure scanner is perfectly level and on solid ground without anything moving around.

Re: P30 calibraton
thanks, we have shipped the scanner quite a few times without issue, seems this last time it got a rough ride. I did the tilt compensator/calibration. Going to test today. Thanks again for the help

Re: P30 calibraton
We do the check everytime we travel (every week, if not more often). If the values come back close to 1 we just leave it alone, but often they will come back higher and we can use the results of the test to get a more accurate survey.shollinger70 wrote:thanks, we have shipped the scanner quite a few times without issue, seems this last time it got a rough ride.
