Spliting 2 overlaid scans in a Cyclone modelspace
Hi, I made a misatake and scanned twice in the same scan with a P40. I want to split them in two, created a new scanworld, copied one of the scan in the modelspace, duplicated it on the controlspace. Now the one copied is still in the original scan !?! And when tryng to do visual alignment: "Failed to start. MAke sure both scanworlds have points and normals". Anyone can help ? Thanks !

Where you have created the new scan set up, right click it to get this menu and estimate normal.
In the registration, go to Register > Auto-Update and it should all be fine!

Richard
You may need to do a "set as default scanworld" using that method or something as even though you can see them in the modelspace and control space they are not really in the scanworld.
Can I suggest an alternate method
If you expand the double scanworld you will get down to a scans folder which will have two scans in it. Copy the scan from the double to the empty scanworld in the navigator then go back a delete (or just cut and paste).
Thats how I've always done it.
Cheers
