Hello all,

At Hobs we just get a manfrotto dolly:

However, it only match with manfrotto tripods.
Does anyone find an adapter or a way to use Leica tripods with it?

Thanks in advance! :-)

Best,

Lourdes

Hi Lourdes,
mighby a problem... Manfrotto tripods has got another type of spikes than standard surveying tripods. I checked it and we should have additional protection rubber or strong protection tape or other type type.
We can chat about this tripod dolly via email;) (about ideas etc)
regards,
Tom

We've sold quite a few of these to our customers for scanning...

The seco dolly is amazing as it was designed from scratch to take tripods. The spikes lift the unit of the wheels and you can even put the scanner on the floor. With the sliders you can make it work for different solutions.
The crux is do you want light and cheap or sturdy and pay the price.
I personally would avoid any dolly where you just lock the wheels and have rubber wheels as it moves. End off.
The smallest and cheapest I use has been a manfroto it's similar to the 181 but I think it is the next size down. The foot operated lifting to raise and lower the feet of the floor speeds up the operation and saves the back. It isn't designed for tripods but putting the spikes in the right spot with some strong bungee cord does the trick
May be I will talk to them to see if I can get a tripod spike adaptor

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

Are there any small dolly solutions that will take a standard yellow survey tripod?

We already have the following dolly but would like 2nd smaller solution as it doesnt quite fit through a lot of doors / spaces! https://www.sccssurvey.co.uk/22-swi-tripod-dolly.html
