You will be part of a group of specialists, including sales management, Inside Sales Specialists, Applications Engineers, marketing and others to evaluate customer’s needs mainly in Tunnel and Mining applications, demonstrate Faro’s Laser Scanner LS Products and software solutions, and advance and close sales. The successful candidate should be someone who can provide excellent product demonstrations with all the technical and CAD - Software background knowledge necessary to be successful.


• The Account Manager acts as a primary point of contact in the sales process and provides technical support to potential customers during the evaluation period.
• Responsibilities include product sales, prospecting and relationship building.
• Generate sales revenues by performing product and software demonstrations at selected customers in the mining industry. Evaluate customer requirements for this purpose, software solutions
• Provide meaningful feedback as an integral member of the sales team.
• Provide strategic inputs, identify and report on potential opportunities to achieve additional sales opportunities outside of traditional channels.
• Work as part of the sales team to generate ideas for company sales opportunities, processes and systems.
• Provide feedback to FARO Research and Development for product improvement and strategic development.
• Inform clients of new products and software solutions as they are announced or released.


• BA/BSc degree or equivalent, preferably in a technical discipline. Experience in the Tunneling and Mining industry, especially as a surveyor, is a definite plus;
• 3 to 5 years in direct sales experience with excellent selling skills in capital equipment in the mining industry is a definite plus;
• Excellent Sales Skills with references;
• Demonstrated ability to identify technical problems, and to formulate and demonstrate solutions. Must be able to communicate and articulate technical solutions to all levels of an organization;
• Strong interpersonal, presentation and closing skills;
• Expert knowledge and experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Microstation;
• Candidates with knowledge in 3D mining design packages like Datamine and/or mineCAD would have an advantage;
• Experience giving technical and problem solution orientated presentations to customers;
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the client in understandable terms;
• Ability to create non-traditional marketing and sales opportunities with the special intuitiveness for niche markets;
• Passionate about developing customer partnerships;
• Outstanding organization and time management skills;
• Highly disciplined individual and an excellent team player;
• High energy with the drive to succeed;
• Valid driver’s license.
