Give me a call when your platform can detect and remove other scanners + tripods, operators, vehicles from the laser scan data.

Hi Tommy, I sent you a LinkedIn request. I would be happy to learn more about what are you using to capture laser scan data.

Re: Removing people from WebShare views
We looked into the Celentur approach in the past, issue is the lack of batch export/import from Scene. Best thing you could do Mario to open your solution to the Faro scanner market is to edit the images from the .fls files or even .e57 files. The SDK for those are available.
Currently with celentur this is the workflow;
-Right click each scans 1 by 1. Export the pano image, wait for export to finish, proceed to next scan. Can't batch export from Scene.
-Upload data to Celentour Cloud
-Download fix from Celentour
-Could involve QC of given pictures
-In scene, right click, replace color overlay for each scan 1 by 1, wait for import to finish.
- Recolor pointcloud.
For thousands of scan this can be extremely long. In fact, too long.
Currently if we do not know ahead of time faces can't be captured we just delete the faces manually, using the lasso tool, it is faster this way. Yes we loose the points in the background but we scan with tons of overlap so it doesn't affect the overall deliverable. This is actually faster than exporting/replacing each pictures.
or.
We scan in black and white (intensity) only
So my best advice would be to look into supporting processing .e57 as it is the more universal format.
Obviously since this involves hundreds of gb of data, this could be a processing only available on your local computer processing solution and not have to deal with the data on your cloud.

Hi Leandre, I agree with you. In fact, we are planning to work on supporting the e57 format starting from Q2/Q3 this year. I will keep you posted when we release this feature.
