Free Revit add-ons for working with point clouds.

Post by Oskokos »

I have been working with point clouds in Revit for a long time. But I do everything by "my hands". Maybe there is something that can make my life easier? :D

I am an architector and make walls, windows, doors, etc.

Hi Sergey,

have you seen the integration of a NavVis IndoorViewer as a plugin for Revit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F02wns-ZhNA?
It comes in handy for the as-built projects, helping you understanding what you're actually looking at in your model.

I myself can program small Revit applications and give them to everyone for free :) I think I'm not the only one

I meant of course the large products like Cloudworx, Pointsense,... Not a small add-on although if it were a hobby project i would expect to always pay a little amount for the development if used for business.

I understand that large projects are being developed a lot of the time. But sometimes a small dynamo script can speed up the work several times. True, to be honest, I have not yet come up with such scripts for working with point clouds. Maybe there are only big developments in this thread :(
