BLK2GO for supplementing LiDAR UAV data

Post by winslowkr »

Last fall I added a UAV LiDAR to my toolset, mdLiDAR3000DL (AKA: RegalminiVoxDL). Few bumps in the road as any new tool will have. I have a project coming up that has several overbridges, tunnels, and building overhangs. Do you think that a BLK2GO would be a good way to supplement areas that the UAV cannot see? How had is it going to be to get BLK2GO data on the same coordinate system/Site control as our UAV data?

I have a P20, P50, and RTC360 that I use Register 360 and Cyclone core to process scan data. How will my workflow change when processing BLK2GO data?

How do you merge UAV data with terrestrial scanner data?

As far as I know Cyclone Core can import and align unstructured setups, so that’s the way to go.
