We recently released the ZEB HORIZON with 100m range which makes data capture effortless and drastically reduces the impact of drift. If you want more info: https://geoslam.com/zeb-horizon/

Thanks
Wonder what are the specs of BLK2 going to be. I can't imagine using data captured by a thing you hold in your hand 100m away from you while walking, but correct me if I'm wrong. Can you actually use the far away points within the stated 1-3cm accuracy?

Thanks Jiri

You can trust geoslam device either at 15m, if you will do a project a compare it with a terestrial scanner you will know what i mean !

I agree with this, we have used the Zeb-Revo a few times and tested it within our office against terrestrial data and it was out less than 1/4 of an inch from one end of the building interior to the other. About 7000 square feet of space with many rooms. It has it's place and you need to know it's limitations.

If the BLK2Go is better quality that would be exciting.

Looking forward to seeing some real scan data and a price point. IF it works. It will be awesome.

Here I am in Stuttgart, Germany attending InterGeo2019.

This morning, saw two BLK2GOs in the corner of the Hexagon booth with a large video monitor. Pricing when asked is Euro 46,000.

I captured the video, but no current place for the URL, so I am just placing a screenshot of the two minute video.

Here is another more detailed screen shot from the phone video capture of the monitor. I Will try today to see if other information is available.

Thanks Dennis. Whilst density is a bit light on (walk slower .. more laps .. whatever), the data looks like it could be quite clean.

The intersection of the columns and ceilings looks better than I would have expected.

Time will tell!

Seems to be very Leica Pro this and slating Geoslam against terrestrial scanners - the geoslam is not to replace your frontline scanner it is another tool in the box.

I agree. They should post this to a cloud based Jetstream somewhere so we can examine it under a microscope :)
I'll offer ours since it doesn't seem that Leica has one corporately.....still honing the latency on HDR imagery though.
This would be pure cloud though...

Agreed, seems the industry has now dropped down to the level of 'fanboys'. I personally have no preference and use whatever equipment I have available that will give me the best results for the job. I used the Zeb years ago and was very impressed. Like you say, it is another tool to add to the arsenal and isn't the silver bullet. The fact they were doing this years ago as a privately owned company in the UK should be applauded.
