Rendering Point Clouds in 3DS Now That Mental Ray is Gone

Rendering Point Clouds in 3DS Now That Mental Ray is Gone

I tried to render point clouds today in 3DS using Arnold as suggested by Adesk now that Mental Ray is gone.
...it did not go well!
Anyone cracked this nut yet?

Update: My point cloud was georeferenced. Once I updated the origin in ReCap it popped right into 3DS.
However, I've not yet been able to dial in the render settings in Arnold...
