Recommendations for short range, full dome scanner

Post by riso2k4 »

Looking for a sensor that is optimized for short range, precise scanning. Ideally this would be a full dome scanner as well. Our max target range is 5-7 meters. This would be operated remotely, which makes anything handheld difficult.

We are currently using a rtc360, but still generates a fair bit of noise in small, isolated areas. Surphaser comes to mind, but have never used one. 1550nm would be ideal as well based on the reflectivity of the objects behind scanned.

Let me know if anything comes to mind. Appreciate the help!

If you're looking for the best data quality/accuracy in short range full dome, it's hard to suggest anything but a Surphaser. But obviously you pay considerably for that level of 'cleanliness' and accuracy in the data.
