Hello Everyone,
Wondering if anyone has found a good backpack styled product to carry Z+F scanners. The Pelican cases are great for protection, but not so great for lugging up ladders. I was thinking that something with a steel/aluminium frame like a hiker/backpacker would use might work in some way. I've heard of people using total station backpacks after removing some of the foam protection, but that seems risky. I've been using rope to pull the Pelican case up, but I would feel more comfortable with a backpack.Thoughts?
Thanks,
Scott

Let me know how that works out as an alternative transportation method in the field.

We use the lowerpro, just suggest taking the scanner in and making sure it fits.

If you want something simple and you can control the environment, the simplest solution would be make a foam cover for the scanner, and pop that in a large padded backpack from any outdoor shop.
If you need more guaranteed protection, and if the box your 5010 came in is similar to ours, then this may work for you...
