Combining FARO and Leica Scans In Scene

Post by imcid953 » Wed Jan 14, 2015 9:34 pm

Is there a way (other than converting them into a .PTX or .E57 file) to bring Leica scans into Scene to be combined with FARO scans?

Thank you,

Bill

From the Scene 5.3 manual:

"If you already have scan files on your hard disk, then start their import either with the command File > Import or by Drag & Drop. SCENE can import scan files from different scanner manufacturers. You can import the scan files in FARO Laser Scan format, E57, Leica PTZ, PTX format or as an XYZ text file."

So Leica PTZ files, or the methods you listed.

Thank you. I guess it helps to read  I knew Scene imported .PTX and .PTZ files, but didn't realize they are the Leica format. (The drop-down menu on the import window doesn't list the company associated with the file types.)

No worries, until now, I didn't know that .PTZ was a Leica format either.
