P40 failing to boot

Post by danielgadowski » Wed Jan 30, 2019 10:33 am

Hi guys, we have a job that required the P40 being controlled remotely. We have tried to follow official guidance by using an android device. We have turned on the Wi-Fi on the P40, but we could not see the network on the phone. Decision was made to re-boot the scanner. Since then it is crashing at the boot and hangs on the white Leica screen.
I can get into the Pxx config menu and I was able to export the logs. I'm curious if pressing the Delete User Config button could make a difference here?
Has anyone came across something like this?
I have tried to get through to the Leica Support, but you just bounce off a voicemail. I have left the message, but now its a wait...

No help with the booting but i have not had the remote work for over a year - since then, Nexus 6P, Pixel 2, Samsung S8, Samsung Note none will work as per the guide.

Is the live chat for HDS support not live anymore?

Hi Dan,

The WLAN sounds like its failed and hanging on reboot. ( Had a similar issue before)

An engineer should be able to connect remotely and switch off the WLAN.

Might need to looked at on next calibration.

Email me and i can look to move this issue along.

James,
as you mentioned, it was a faulty WiFi card.
Guys from Switzerland got in remotely and turned it off so we can use it till the next calibration.
Thanks
Dan
