Wow, brilliant stuff.
It reminds me of a TV doco I saw a while ago where a University were mapping sub sea life ( stromatolites) in Shark Bay, Western Australia. They were filming using a drone, then using a damned powerful computer to remove the video distortion caused by the refractive index of the sea water. The result was a near perfect 3D image of the underwater structures.
