Hi all! My first post..
I accedently deleted a scan scene...
I have exported scan in .pts format.
Is it possible to load/import a pts job back into the dpi-8 ?
I wonder because I need to set koordinates to the targets, my scan does not fit my reference TLS pointcloud.
(I dont have acess to the scanner 24/7, thats why I wonder.)
Or are there other solutions?
Thanks for answering me

Re: DPi-8: .pts file back to .dp possible?
Hi Perry,
Welcome to the Forum; it's a great resource.
The bad news is that you can't convert from PTS to .DP. PTS data is unstructured, a collection of points really. .DP data is structured, i.e. it contains information about the camera position and orientation for example. This position and pose information is lost in the translation to PTS.
The good news is that the tablet you used to capture the data in the first place probably has the data. There is a .DP Autosave directory where a backup, unoptimized copy of the data you collected is kept. The directory is sorted in descending order by date/time stamp. Contact [email protected] if you have any issues here.
