Until recently, my green license dongle is no longer recognized by the GeoSlam Desktop software. When plug in the dongle, it lights up red and shows its available in the Sentinel License Manager. Then when I start the software, the dongle no longer lights up and is gone from the Sentinel License Manager. I contacted GeoSlam tech support a few weeks ago and they said it is clashing with another Sentinel license. The only other license I have on there is a network license for SCENE. Their suggestion was to use a different computer for processing the GeoSlam software. That is terribly inconvenient.
Has anyone else had this issue and found a way around it?

Could be worth pinging a question over to Gemalto Sentinel tech support if you haven't already done so, see http://sentineldiscussion.gemalto.com/ We've being using their products for some years and found the support has been good. Usually if you've two separate programs using similar drivers, if you update to the latest driver it will work ok with both.

Getting Geoslam hub to work properly is a nightmare. I had to reinstall Windows, it worked for a while, but now, although it lights up green, it doesn't process the data. It's also very buggy, we end up saving time in the field and then loosing it all trying to get the data processed

Shane:
I actually did contact Gemalto Sentinel. Their answer was that since I purchased the product from a vendor, support can only be channelized through the vendor.
James:
I agree with the time savings. It sounds like we are having similar issues. I have tried again to contact GeoSlam support, but no reply now.

Re: Clashing license issues
There were a couple problems but everything has been sorted out now.
The support link on the GeoSlam page was apparently broken, but that has now been fixed.
Ektoras from GeoSlam was very helpful and had to update my Sentinel Control Center and adjust my VM software.

Re: Clashing license issues
Hello,
The solution to the dongle not been seen by VB is below.
If VirtualBox isn't showing any USB devices, then try the steps below :
• Open the Windows registry, by clicking on Start > Run and typing regedit
• Navigate to the following location HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{36FC9E60-C465-11CF-8056-444553540000}
• In the right hand panel, if the the UpperFilters entry exists, then delete it
• Reboot the PC
Then:
• Open folder C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\drivers\USB\filter in Window Explorer
• Click right mouse button on file named VboxUSBMon.inf
• Click Install
• Reboot PC
If the above will not fix the issue, then please come in contact with [email protected]
