We're in the process of moving away from Cylcone in favor of LC....way too many positives not to.

What are the positives to not use Cyclone anymore?

I think there are 40,000 similar US dollar issues. Plus LC wasn't designed by a squirrel that likes to bury nuts with its right toes and use wizards to find them.

oh and I forgot... LC is also not designed by beavers that likes to improve and borrow code and come up with lame names of pre-autodesk purchased programs as labels for its memory leaky dams that it would like you to install everywhere.

This!

Also, I'm more in favor of not having to go from .zfs to .imp to .pts to .rcp or .pod......instead, I prefer .zfs to, well, anywhere I want to go.

File sizes stay small
Ability to deal with single REGISTERED scans
Easier translation to CAD platforms
Better registration environment.
CHEAPER
Customer Support is fantastic.

That's my list for now. 8-)

I don't know what are you comparing a Cyclone register is under 10000 from our last quote. When we got our HSD7000 the cost for a 5010 inclusive LC and HDS7000 inclusive Register + model + cloudworx was not big. I don't know what software and hardware maintenance is for Z&F can compare this.

I agree that this is annoying

I like the cyclone registration environment and so fare I find it the most suitable for me (must be because I am German). I am trying to get a trail license to check out the LC software and get my own opinion.

Here in Australia it's more the problem what the customer Support is not from Leica direct.

Thanks for your feedback.
