Re: Version 2.8
Daniel,
When did CC start getting code names?
(According to Google Translate, the French word "HogFather" translates to the English word "hogFather".)
Did you just find a good bacon place?

Re: Version 2.8
This is the first time...
And we did it because OS X, Android, QGis, Intel processors, NVidia GPUs, etc. all have codenames and it's so cool when people talk about the version by its codename
And then we looked for a 'theme', and we all agreed to pick codenames from Pratchett's 'Disc World' books (cause we are all big geeks after all ).
'Hogfather' was pretty obvious because of the date (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogfather).

Re: Version 2.8
Thank you Daniel for the hard work you have been doing to get 2.8 out, I tried to use the previous version to register some large scans I have been taking with my Faro s120, but I always get the out of memory issue, is this been solved in the new 2.8 version

Re: Version 2.8
Daniel,
This is not a complaint.
the Faro SDK that shipped with version 2.8 is 5.5.3.16.
The current version from FARO is 6.2.2.7.
When asked, I declined installation of 5.5.3.16
and it found my already installed 6.2.2.7
- [Faro] Successfully connected to FARO LS runtime version '6.2.2.7' was reported in the console log window.
I opened the .fls folder (pointed to the 0 byte .fls file) and a .fls put out by Scene
and both worked.

Re: Version 2.8
Oh, you are right to report this to me. As I'm not a FARO customer / user, I don't think about this plugin at all if no one reminds me about it
