Exporting CC created mesh

Post by joel.hicks »

I have been working with the unroll function within CC, and have unrolled a recent scan we did of a pipeline.

I was then hoping to be able to export it as a mesh file or polygonal model so that i can use it in Polyworks, our main inspection software.

Can someone please assist with what is probably a simple solution starring me in the face?

Hi Joel,
It looks from your screengrab like it is still a mesh ( unrolled ) ?
Make sure it is selected in the DB tree (the list on the left), then click the Save Icon (or File, Save)
The select a Mesh format ( DXF, PLY) from the list.

If it is a pointcloud, you can create a mesh using the "Poissonrecon" plugin, then export it as a mesh.
PM me if you like and I can talk you through it.
