Pleased to announce that we've updated our Rhino 6.0 plugin with our latest XStreamEngine 2.0 SDK.
This brings numerous performance benefits to the core Rhino plugin including faster rendering, smoother controls and better "Snap To Point" performance.
We've also updated the Rhino Renderer plugin to provide support for gradient and transparent backgrounds.
All of this is available now from our website and is a free update for all current licensed customers.
I've put together a very quick video below just to show the stunning performance of our engine and how quickly and easily it is to work with highly detailed point clouds in a CAD environment without loss of precision, detail or fidelity.

Re: Arena4D for Rhino 6.0
Great work guys! I wasn't complaining at all about the performance but I'll take it!

Compare Revit vs Rhinoceros:

Autodesk (esp. Revit) dominates 'reality capture', but there are viable alternatives out there -Arena4D for Rhino 6.0 is worth looking at IMHO. Compatibility with the Autotodesk world is really the key. How are others using Rhino w/ Arena4D fitting into the general AEC environment lately?

Other BIM platforms such as Archicad are much enhanced when teamed with Rhino:Scott wrote: ↑Wed Jul 11, 2018 8:16 pm Compare Revit vs Rhinoceros:

"ARCHICAD’s bidirectional integration with Rhino-Grasshopper adds an additional layer of sophistication to its new façade design capabilities. You can not only create a curtain wall using a Grasshopper script, you can also algorithmically change aspects such as the panel distribution, panel type, frame density, frame type, and so on in gradations over the surface of the façade, leading to instantaneous pattern variations in a curtain wall (see Figure 8) that could not have been achieved with ARCHICAD alone." http://www.aecbytes.com/review/2018/ARCHICAD22.html
