Arena4D Web Hosting

Post by Mark Christy » Tue Oct 31, 2017 1:26 pm

We can now offer our Point Server technology in "the cloud" for those wishing to share their point cloud data without the hassle of posting USB sticks or setting up their own dedicated server.

http://veesus.com/web-cloud-hosting/

With the service you get a dedicated resource in "the cloud" with no sharing of storage/resources with anybody else. Your web pages can be tailored to your specific requirements with logo branding, etc.

VPC files are typically around 1/3 of the size of most point cloud file formats, so it's quicker and easier to upload data for sharing than using E57, LAS or PTS files. Also because they are smaller you can store more point cloud files per GB.

Our service provides access for unlimited users. You pay for the storage, not the number of people you may, or may not, want to have access to the point cloud data.

For a small demo please follow the URL above, or look here:

As well as providing a web view using the easily customisable and popular PoTree framework our hosting also allows you to stream the data straight into any of our desktop products.

Need to allow somebody on the other side of the world to perform some modelling in Rhino for you? Simply upload your compact VPC file to your cloud storage and email them a link. They can then open this in Rhino and be modelling on exactly the same point cloud data as you in minutes.

We will be expanding the capability of our cloud offering with the same dedication as our other product lines.. so expect to see more updates soon!

For more information please see the website or drop us an email.

Koalas,
Thanks for the video -It was a nice demonstration of Arena4D and Rhino (I presume?) working together.

Scott,

Yes, you were right, that's Rhino V5 the latest version at the moment.

I'm sure that Arena4D for Rhino Plugin gives it a pairs of new wings.
