Network Streaming

Post by Mark Christy » Wed Jan 04, 2017 4:17 pm

Hi,

With the latest release of our Arena4D product suite (3.1.0) we made some big under the hood changes to the network streaming capabilities. What this means is even faster streaming of point cloud data from a server you control to our desktop products AND Potree web framework.

The other benefit of these changes is that we can now host a server directly in the cloud and not just on a desktop/server machine.

I've put together a quick video below showing an installation of our server software running in the Microsoft Azure cloud and streaming data across the internet to our office.

Hope to add a live demo to our website shortly...

Many Thanks

Mark
